About Us

Who We Are

The Gold & Gray Soccer Academy has quickly become one of Edinburgh’s premier football camp and session providers. Launched by professional footballers, David Gold and Ross Gray during 2016, the Academy has seen rapid growth in its operations and work with local football clubs.

The Academy also supports parts of Edinburgh’s Active Schools programme working with schools across Edinburgh’s east at both primary and secondary level.

The academy offers 1:1 coaching, group play, club sessions, elite player development sessions & holiday camps all delivered by UEFA licensed coaches.

Player development is at the heart of Gold & Gray Soccer Academy footballing philosophy but there is also an emphasis on having fun. So whether you are taking your 1st steps into playing football, or player looking to develop your skills further to get to the next level, Gold & Gray Soccer Academy is here to help.

The work that the Academy has been doing has been endorsed by prominent Scottish footballing personalities John Collins and John Hughes as well as current players such as former Heart’s player Sam Nicholson and Hibernian’s Paul Hanlon.

Fun

At the heart of everything we do – each session designed for our academy kids to fall in love with football and to leave with a smile on their face!

Technical

Sessions designed to improve technical skills. Our goal is to help players feel more comfortable when in control of the football as well as having the skills to be creative on the pitch.

Physical

Sessions designed to improve speed, agility, balance, co-ordination with and without the ball.

Psychological

Sessions designed to improve confidence, self-esteem and resilience. An environment where our academy kids can express themselves, be challenged, challenge others.

The Gold & Gray Toolbox

“Every child should start by mastering a ‘football toolbox’.

Gold & Gray are delivering exactly this: right foot, left foot, awareness, balance and co-ordination all in the pursuit of mastering the technical ability required to become a footballer.

All kids should be mastering this tool box & these skills…football comes later.”
John Hughes, Gold and Gray Ambassador
